A flaw in the TrainerRoad business model? ;)

No, but that’s a good idea.

I ride with a healthy mix of folks who race (Road, MTB, Cross, Tri) and plenty that don’t. I’ve considered racing once or twice with friends. Personally, I use TR because:

  1. Excellent Community
  2. Outstanding platform/service
  3. Good structured training

I think the fact that TR allows people to give away 1-month free trials is one of the best community building methods (and free marketing). Plenty of other companies that use a yearly subscription model do the same thing or something similar (ever wonder why Lyft gives credits when you refer new riders?). Tons of companies struggle with spending too much money on advertising for first-time and repeat business, it’s a huge portion of their marketing budgets (no clue if this is true for TR).

I would also like “no TR reference” on garmin connect and strava

I keep all TR workouts ‘private’ on Strava while outdoor rides on Strava. I want to beat my riding buddies. I don’t want them to know the true benefits of TR. Call me selfish. Yes I am. :))

all my riding mates have no interest in indoor riding. Thus i have 3 referrals to give out if anyone needs
