I read somewhere that Geraint Thomas once jumped on a teammates bike with a completely different set up and didn’t really notice anything untoward whereas Cav has a fit if his seat height is 2mm out.

Yeah. That’s the difference between “micro adjusters” and “macro absorbers”.
I am 5’8”.
I’ve had about 2 weeks worth of riding with the 145 cranks now. Once I made the correct seat adjustments, I can’t tell any difference in power or cadence but I am way more comfortable on my bike and hopefully more aero.
I still have 165 cranks on my road bike. Can’t tell the difference when I go from one bike to another. It’s seamless. I am sold!
