FTP Test Cut Short - Still Gave Me a Number?

I tried a 20-min FTP test the other day and over-paced. I know, the 20 minute test sucks, but it’s what I started this plan with and it suits my riding style, so I wanted to compare apples to apples. My mind gave in at about the 10 minute mark and I fizzled. Compounding this, some sweat dripped onto my phone and I scrubbed the rest of the workout wiping it off.

Strangely, TR calculated and reported an FTP.

What’s going on here?

Did it assume I held pace, or is there some ramp-test-ish black magic happening?

You’re totally right, your test has some weird issues with the way the data was recorded.

It seems that you may have found a very obscure glitch after scrubbing your workout forward mid-workout . As you can see in the above image, the average wattage for the whole interval is recorded as 285, when clearly that is not the case.

You can go ahead and disregard the result since clearly there was an error in how the data was compiled.

Sorry about that!

Thanks for the reply @Bryce . That’s what I thought.

P.S. I reported another obscure glitch via e-mail support two days ago. I must have a knack for picking these things up.
