Not really a tip per se, but during my long Z2/endurance ride on the weekend I practice all that kind of stuff β breathing, pedalling, aero position, etc. You can cram a lot of practice into 2 hours of low intensity riding. A lot of that stuff I still have to consciously focus on and think about, like belly breathing.
Try breathing slowly but really deeply at the very start of the interval. Focus on trying to expel as much air as possible on your exhale.
