So I am going to a race next weekend and I am going withing a team. I am looking at the registry and there is a team of 9 guys in the CAT 5 race. What tips or things do I need to know to hang with and eventually beat a team of 9 as a solo rider?
A team of guys in a Cat 5 race are just a bunch of solo riders that happen to know each other and wear the same jersey.
There isn’t any team tactics in Cat 5. It’s basically the equivalent of pre-school soccer where everyone chases after the ball (except it’s following every attack)
Go out, have fun, don’t crash, and finish the race.
