Newbie - Can't seem to get ERG mode to work

I am a newbie and although I bought my Elite Direto earlier in the year, I am now trying to get serious with my off season training.
I don’t seem to be able to get the ERG mode to work. I use an ANT+ dongle (with a USB extension cable so it can sit right next to the trainer) - this is my 2nd dongle as I thought the previous one wasn’t working.

I cycle on the small chainring on the front and the chain on the middle of the cassette. I have been looking on the forums but can’t make figure out what is happening! Any advice on what I am doing wrong? or what i could try to make it work? Steps to check etc? Thanks in advance :slight_smile:

Check nothing else has control of the trainer. Another app via bluetooth etc.

Thanks, will check. I only have TR on my ipad but will turn off BT in case.

Like Pirnie mentioned, being paired to multiple apps or devices simultaneously can cause problems. Be sure that you are not paired to the Elite App, or any other version of TrainerRoad. Then, ensure that ERG mode is enabled in the Trainer Settings.

Next, be sure that you are giving ERG mode enough time to switch. Pedal at a consistent 90ish rpm for 10 seconds to see if it eventually does change. This is a good data point for troubleshooting.
