Q rings & powertap P2 pedals

I recently purchased a new TT bike with Q rings & I have the P2 powertap pedals. Ive been told the power numbers don’t necessarily transfer well with the Q rings. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi! I have a Q-Ring on my MTB with a Rotor powermeter (Crank) and the number mathc perfektly with my road Bike (round Chainring and Favero Assioma).

Powertap pedals are fully compatible with oval rings as they measure rotational velocity 40 times per pedal stroke.

The problems with oval chainrings are when the power meter is assuming that the rotational speed is constant, which it isn’t.

Got it! Thank you!

Would an oval ring present issues for a left crank only 4iii power meter?
