Yeah I was going to say it’s contextual for sure. When my Mom says it it’s for real. When a co-worker says it or writes it it usually means semething else.

My understanding of this phrase is that the person either thinks:
- what you’ve just said is a stroke of genius
or - your talking horse s**t.
Usually it’s the latter.

I work for a multinational and it does take a bit of getting used to especially in Slack and code reviews. The Danes. I swear; there’s being forthright and then there’s a whole other level of transcendent bluntness that they are on

You should try Icelanders - like the Danes but slightly more inscrutable.
You start a conversation where you think something’s broken by saying something like:
“Am I being dense here - I don’t think this does what it’s supposed to.”
and they interrupt you at the hyphen to say yes! even if they have an inkling you’re probably correct and this thing is broken!

I tend to say “From my perspective” meaning I am right and you dont have a clue 
Or you have some good points, meaning non of them are relevant
Its also how we say certain things too, that can be missed by others
“Whatever you say!”
