Training without a fan

Hi,

I’m new to indoor training and preparing for an IM next year. I already noticed (hard not to) that I sweat a lot more while cycling indoor on a HT.

I was about to bring the fans from the basement when I realized that it actually may be a good idea to train without. One thing I usually have hard time with is riding / running in the sun. The IM I’m preparing happen to be in Nice, 30/06.

So it just occured to me that it may be a good preparation for the heat if I train without the fans. Any opinions / experience on that strategy ?

Look into this.

It is good to do, but only in the final couple of weeks before your event.

Train normally with a fan and proper cooling to get maximum payback on your time.
