Welcome to Instagram Nate

Be sure to add “Cat5pro” as a friend…

@Nate_Pearson will be sharing all his secrets to keep his hair like that all the time?
I bet he gets out of a 2hr ride with the hair shining.
A local casino should open a line of over/unders products he already tested. I guess 25,5 a good ballpark!

Nutrition for sure! Your Brooklyn 99 meal looked :ok_hand: :ok_hand: maybe something like “what I eat in a day”

I swear to god this is 100% true…after @Nate_Pearson posted to his IG story about his carbs for the day, the next (sponsored) story that came up on my feed was from Popeye’s. :flushed:

At first I thought it was just a continuation of Nate’s story and that was his lunch… my immediate reaction was “Those aren’t carbs, buddy…”

When he first got on Instagram I expected his bio to be

“CEO and Co-founder of TrainerRoad
I’m 6’6”, I’m not fat and I eat a lot”

Has the @Nate_Pearson Instagram experience ended? Oh never mind it is now Nate Pearson (@tr.nate) • Instagram photos and videos

Oh sweet!
Personally I love seeing people’s day to day training/workouts- I find it really fascinating to see the different approaches people take towards a goal or event.

Thank you for the meal stories @Nate_Pearson :ok_hand:

@Nate_Pearson One meal you can test is my vegetarian take on spaghetti bolognese. Instead of using beef mince I use lentils. Double carb source + enough protein :muscle:

Instagram users of TrainerRoad, do you have your profiles public, or private?

Mine has always been public. I just monitor who follows me in the notifications and boot people that are bots/I’d rather not have following me.

I feel like I’m missing out on some of the benefits of it by having a private profile, but have snapped some cool pictures of my kids etc on the bikes.

Do you limit what you post with the public setting in mind?

(I also don’t really want to have more social media. I would like to get rid of FB if I could, but these days it’s where most of my race event information comes through)

I think the main benefit of having a public profile is that more people are able to share your stories/posts = more engagement. I don’t really post normal IG posts much, mostly stories. I figure they’re gone in 24hr, so I’m not super worried.

That’s a good way of doing it.

That’s kind of what made me wonder about the merits. I see “stories” shares from TR, or the race organisers and it made me wonder how these accounts see it all.

I’ll dig through the privacy settings.

I know some people  have “business” Facebook accounts and accept no friends. This way you can keep track/follow of all cycling related pages and not mix with your personal Facebook account or just let your personal account go dormant.
