I’m 3 weeks into the race season and looking to substitute outdoor rain days to trainer days using TR. What rides are recommended to use during the week considering race days are typically on Sunday? I’d hate to start a phase that I won’t complete in succession.
Well, I started the season continuing with workouts from the CX specialty plan, which are usually Tues/Thurs for the hard ones, but I was finding 2 days of intense training plus a race each weekend was leaving my legs a bit lifeless. So in the past couple of weeks I’ve been doing one anaerobic session (usually something like from the CX plan) and a sweet spot workout with the rest being endurance and have found that I’m keeping myself sharp enough yet fresh enough for the races.
